Alliance International was created by two produce industry veterans. This group is being formed to provide a year round supply chain of fruit products to customers that need a higher level of service or “program.” This will position shareholder companies to extend their customer base to higher value customers and increase the percentage of “pre-committed fruit” before the season begins.

The pre-commitment of fruit allows the shareholder companies to negotiate for profitable sales and limits the fruit that has to be sold on a day-to-day basis. This strategy limits the exposure of the grower to detrimental market conditions and in turn, will produce a higher per box FOB price average.

The key component to the success of Alliance International for its grower and customer base is grower ownership. By having grower ownership for the entire year, both domestically and imported, Alliance International can assure that all customer requirements will be met and establish itself as a premier fruit vendor. Those requirements can range from the type of packaging at the source to price commitments. This also provides the opportunity to help the customer with new ideas, whether those are in merchandising, consumer packaging or shipping container.

It is also very important for Alliance International to be strategic in the equity partners it invites to invest. Not only are complimenting products and timing of products important, but a multiple continent supply base is essential. As World market, weather, political and financial conditions continue to evolve, Alliance International is positioning themselves to be the mainstay in any year-round fruit program by establishing its supply base on multiple continents.

Although the initial product focus will be table grapes, plans will be to offer stone fruit and citrus in the coming seasons.
